Go-Live Date for the new Clearing and Risk Management at EXAA

As jointly announced by EXAA and CCP Austria, CCP Austria will take over the clearing and risk management service for the electricity spot market at EXAA, thus further strengthening the exchange trading. After consultation with all stakeholders, we are now very pleased to announce

9 November 2021

as the go-live date. The Go-Live date is subject to necessary regulatory approvals.


In order to ensure a successful go-live and to make the migration as smooth as possible for you, we would like to remind you of the next steps and the related dates and deadlines:


Clearing Agreement

The pre-filled clearing agreement including annexes was sent on 9 July 2021 for review to the contact persons nominated by you for the onboarding process.

We are available at any time for further bilateral meetings or questions to enable that all your open questions are clarified as quickly as possible and the clearing agreement is concluded promptly.

Deadline: 30 September 2021


Account Opening

If you wish to open an account with OeKB AG for the provision of clearing collateral and/or the contribution to the default fund, we kindly ask you to do so by the end of September 2021 at the latest.

Form - Priority rule

The form for the activation of the Priority of Schedules reported by CCP Austria for the Transmission System Operator is now available here for download, where you will also find all information and documents on clearing and risk management provided so far.

We kindly ask you to fill in and sign this form and send it to the respective Transmission System Operator and a copy to us energy@ccpa.at.

Online Training

The registration for our clearing trainings in September 2021 is ongoing. In this online training we will inform you about the changes in clearing and risk management and the related requirements and procedures.

There is no restriction regarding the number of registrations per clearing member, but at least one staff member must attend the training. For all existing EXAA clearing users, the training is free of charge and there will be no clearing exam.

Please take the chance to register for one of the following dates, if you have not already done so:
